Community Relations Manager manages programs supporting the corporate strategy designed to promote and represent the organization and brand as a socially responsible force in the community. Creates and plans outreach programs that engage, support, and partner with the community and produce a positive impact to address local issues. Being a Community Relations Manager collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop clear objectives and deliver meaningful and measurable results. Supports community relations programs' entire life cycle, including coordinating events, managing volunteers, and executing grant proposals. Additionally, Community Relations Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Community Relations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field and ten (10) years of professional human resources experience, including seven (7) years of experience in Employee Relations.
Certification:
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or other Human Resources related certification approved by the department.
Job Summary:
Institutional subject matter expert regarding policies and procedures pertaining to employees of UTMB. Provides advanced level consultation, guidance and direction in employee relations to institutional leadership, assigned employees and internal as well as external customers. Coordinates work flow of other Employee Relations Advisors, and provides guidance on employee relations recommendations for action/outcomes to maintain consistent institutional integrity of policy and procedure interpretation and application. Mentors, develops and coaches advisors on the Employee Relations team, as well as leadership and staff-level employee customers.
