Community Relations Manager manages programs supporting the corporate strategy designed to promote and represent the organization and brand as a socially responsible force in the community. Creates and plans outreach programs that engage, support, and partner with the community and produce a positive impact to address local issues. Being a Community Relations Manager collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop clear objectives and deliver meaningful and measurable results. Supports community relations programs' entire life cycle, including coordinating events, managing volunteers, and executing grant proposals. Additionally, Community Relations Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Community Relations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Community Relations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Summary and Qualifications

    During your time in the Manager in Training Program, you will complete field training and classroom assignments preparing you to function competently as a Manager in a Shared Service Center (SSC). Training will focus on enhancing your management and technical skills. Field training will ensure you are knowledgeable in all aspects in the business office functions. You will also complete training modules in various departments and display competency in specialized aspects of the position such as registration, compliance, billing and collections.

    During your time in the Manager in Training program your duties will include:

    • Complete field training assignments rotating between a hospital, practice and SSC setting.
    • Determine trends in operational performance and identify process improvement opportunities including up-front collections, reduction in insurance denial trends, and reduce percentage of error.
    • Serve as interim manager within various facilities and/or functions to further enhance your management and technical skills.
    • Position will require some weekends and mixed shift rotations.


    What qualifications you will need:

    • BS or BA degree required (or completing a BA or BS). Accounting, Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration & Hospitality degrees are a plus.
    • MBA degree preferred.
    • Experience in healthcare, healthcare management or finance is preferred.
