Community Relations Manager manages programs supporting the corporate strategy designed to promote and represent the organization and brand as a socially responsible force in the community. Creates and plans outreach programs that engage, support, and partner with the community and produce a positive impact to address local issues. Being a Community Relations Manager collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop clear objectives and deliver meaningful and measurable results. Supports community relations programs' entire life cycle, including coordinating events, managing volunteers, and executing grant proposals. Additionally, Community Relations Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Community Relations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Community Relations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     As a CAMS Community Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of homeowner's associations, building relationships with your boards of directors, and working to provide them with the trusted guidance they deserve. Our managers are supported internally by teams of specialists dedicated to assisting both you and the members of the communities we serve.


    What You'll Do Here

    • Maintain an open line of communication with boards of directors and homeowners
    • Prepare and present budgets to your boards
    • Analyze monthly financial reports and create variance reports for your boards
    • Create monthly management reports
    • Contact and coordinate with vendors for community maintenance projects
    • Oversee daily operations of your portfolio of communities
    • Regularly attend board meetings as well as internal team meetings
    • Supervise administrative and maintenance staff when applicable

    Requirements

     

    • Proven proficiency in learning new technology
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Proven capability to review and analyze financial reports
    • Familiarity with insurance regarding HOAs
    • Grasp of contractual bidding processes
    • Knowledge of proper meeting order
    • Familiarity with the architectural request process
    • Ability to create and maintain a proper working budget

    Preferred Education, Licensing, and Experience

    • 2-5 years in the HOA management field (strongly preferred)
    • CAI designation(s) strongly preferred
    • Associates degree or higher preferred

    Benefits & Salary

    The starting salary range for this position is determined by the candidate's qualifications listed above and will be further discussed during the interview stages. New managers without prior experience working directly with Home Owner Associations and no CAI designations can expect to earn $45,000-$50,000 annually at first and more tenured managers who are accustomed to working with Home Owner Associations and have CAI designations will expect to be compensated anywhere from $50,000-65,000 annually to begin. Increases in compensation will be determined by employee performance annually. There is a bonus structure for this role based on portfolio size.
