  • Job Description Summary:
    Position temporarily remote but will be hybrid once we move to our new location in Richfield, Ohio. The HRIS Advisor leads the HRIS function from a technical perspective and ensures operational efficiency aligns with FedEx Custom Critical’s strategic objectives and HR-specific goals. This role leads HRIS system design, development, configuration, administration, project management, communications, and training. Ensures the organization has trusted and business ready HR data that is valid, accurate, and complete in order to support HR reporting & analytics.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Supports the HRIS ongoing life cycle development and responds to changing priorities.
    •  Leads and represents FedEx Custom Critical in all HRIS initiatives, teams, and implementations, encompassing Human Resources, Compensation, Performance Management, Absence, Recruiting, System Security, Timekeeping, and Learning Management Systems.
    • Serves as the FedEx Custom Critical liaison for the corporate Human Resources Information Technology (HRIT) and Payroll Services groups. 
    • Ensures functionality, accuracy, and efficiency of all core and advanced HRIS business processes and workflows.  
    • Identifies system design or process challenges and resolves workflow and data integrity issues.
    • Leads data quality and data audit processes and practices.
    • Drives efforts to standardize, optimize, and simplify processes and technical solutions.  
    • Develops, reviews, and updates system documentation.
    • Extracts information from the HRIS systems and HRIT Data Hub to develop and create reports in support of HR analytics.
    • Provides solutions to various business challenges leveraging available technology solutions. 
    • Manages system projects to meet objectives, timelines, and quality standards.  Creates initial project methodology, test plan, and timeline.  
    • Determines team members, roles, and resources required.
    • Effectively communicates project status, open items, and follow-up items.  
    • Collaborates with other departments and operating companies where needed. 
    • Keeps current on HR system trends and best practices.  
    • Identifies creative, innovative solutions. 
    • Provides required data in support of annual compliance reporting including AAP, EEOC and VETS. 
    • Serves as an advisor to end users.  
    • Prepares and delivers HRIS transition management, communications, and training materials to all FedEx Custom Critical employees.  
    • Leads change and educates, imparts knowledge, develops, and lend guidance to team members internal or external to the department.

    • Communicate and comprehend effectively in written (e-mail, reports, business correspondences, procedural manuals, etc.) and verbal formats, including strong presentation skills with the ability to influence others.  
    • Appropriately manage confidential information and data. 
    • Excellent organizational and implementation skills while managing multiple priorities.
    • Proven ability to accept responsibility for the effective planning, direction and control of an activity.
    • Ability to work independently and/or leading or participating in a team environment. 

    Education:
    • High School Diploma/GED: Required
    • Bachelor's Degree: Required; Business, Human Resources, IT, or closely related discipline
    • Master's Degree: Preferred

    Job Related Experience:
    • 2-3 years: Required; HR Systems Experience - Workday, PeopleSoft, Kenexa, Success Factors Preferred
    • 5 years: Required; Systems administration with strong understanding of HR data and processes
