Job Summary
The HR Compensation Consultant will play a key role in ensuring fair and competitive compensation practices within the University. You will collaborate with campus, non-provost areas (President, Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration (EVPFA), Athletics, Institutional Diversity and Inclusion, Philanthropy, Internal Audit, etc.). You will collaborate with client groups to design and implement compensation strategies with the goal of attracting, retaining, and motivating top talent. You will help develop strategic organizational structures, including re-organizations; conduct forecasting/projections to anticipate future needs; partner/collaborate to determine the optimal job classification for positions; and collaborate with HR Employment Department on various initiatives, including delivering accessible, user-friendly training in position description writing and compliance. You will also work closely with the HR Business Partner Team to provide high-quality, customer-service oriented consultation. Participate in departmental organizational improvement activities. Ensure compliance with Federal, state, local, etc., rules, regulations, and guidelines. Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of compensation principles, exceptional analytical skills, and a passion for driving organizational success through effective compensation practices.

Preferred Education/Experience
Preferred degree areas include Human Resources, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field. Prefer experience providing compensation analysis and/or consultation.
