Compensation Director is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and performance management programs. Leads the compensation function and works with senior management to ensure that compensation strategy and programs support the organization's business objectives, meet all legal requirements, and deliver value and equitable pay. Being a Compensation Director develops compensation budget for assigned areas and manages budget after it is approved. Establishes data collection and analysis processes for market, pay equity, and other compensation studies. Additionally, Compensation Director may be responsible for entire organization or for one or more major segments of a larger organization. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Compensation Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Compensation Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.   • JOB SUMMARY:

    Administers the nursing program at Cypress Lake Recovery to maintain high standards of patient care and ensure all regulatory requirements are met for the department. Supervises the nursing staff, oversees patient care, and responsible for administrative functions for the nursing department such as record keeping and budgeting.


    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Lead the nursing staff in delivering excellent care to patients and offering quality support to the medical staff.
    • Supervises nursing staff including:
    • Responsible for selection and retention of nurses.
    • Develops the initial nursing assessment and trains all nursing staff in its facilitation.
    • Trains nursing staff in any nursing testing at admissions and at time of discharge.
    • Oversee orientation and continued training for nursing staff.
    • Oversee scheduling and coverage, providing fair and consistent coordination of staff and their schedules, and ensuring adequate levels of competent staff to meet organizational needs adhering to budget and staffing guidelines.
    • Develops organizational structure and standards for nursing performance.
    • Demonstrates excellent management skills through staff development including coaching, performance appraisals and corrective actions.
    • Responsible for the education and implementation of organization’s infection control program.
    • Monitor, report, and mitigate medication errors and other nursing incidents.
    • Manage quality improvement programs designed to help us deliver the highest possible levels of service.
    • Create new policies and update existing policies to help improve the level of care for each patient.
    • Collaborates with the contracted NP and MD.
    • The Director of Nursing may be required to perform patient care duties.

    JOB SKILLS AND ABILITY

    • Able to problem solve, engage in creative thinking, able to respond quickly to crisis situations, and interpret medical abbreviations in writing and orally. Able to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
    • Able to utilize basic math skills and mathematical concepts.
    • Able to read, write and speak English fluently.
    • Must have excellent written/oral communication skills.
    • Must possess strong ethics and ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Possesses good attention to detail.
    • Able to deal effectively with distractions.
    • Is reliable in achieving results within expected time periods.
    • Is highly committed to workplace safety.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Graduate of an approved nursing program.
    • MSN or MHA preferred.
    • At least 5 years of experience in the nursing field.
    • Must possess at least 1-2 years of nursing experience relevant to behavioral health.
    • Experience in management/supervision preferred.

    LICENSING/CERTIFICATION:

    • Current LVN licensure permitting work in the state of Texas required; RN licensure preferred.
    • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
    • Clear TB screening.
