Compensation Director is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and performance management programs. Leads the compensation function and works with senior management to ensure that compensation strategy and programs support the organization's business objectives, meet all legal requirements, and deliver value and equitable pay. Being a Compensation Director develops compensation budget for assigned areas and manages budget after it is approved. Establishes data collection and analysis processes for market, pay equity, and other compensation studies. Additionally, Compensation Director may be responsible for entire organization or for one or more major segments of a larger organization. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Compensation Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Compensation Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Your Impact and Responsibilities:
    As a Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant, you will play a critical role in their legal team's operations by:
    • Coordinating with courts to schedule hearings, ensuring all legal proceedings are organized and timely.
    • Scheduling mediations and managing the logistical aspects to facilitate smooth and efficient dispute resolution.
    • Fielding calls from their corporate clients, providing them with timely updates and ensuring their inquiries are addressed with professionalism.
    • Drafting and preparing correspondence related to upcoming hearings, meetings, and mediations, maintaining clear and effective communication with all stakeholders.
    • Performing a variety of administrative tasks to support the legal team, contributing to the seamless operation of their Workers' Compensation practice.

    Qualifications:
    • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a law firm setting, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in Workers' Compensation or related litigation fields.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite, with the ability to efficiently manage correspondence, scheduling, and document preparation.
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, court personnel, and team members.
    • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
