Compensation Director is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and performance management programs. Leads the compensation function and works with senior management to ensure that compensation strategy and programs support the organization's business objectives, meet all legal requirements, and deliver value and equitable pay. Being a Compensation Director develops compensation budget for assigned areas and manages budget after it is approved. Establishes data collection and analysis processes for market, pay equity, and other compensation studies. Additionally, Compensation Director may be responsible for entire organization or for one or more major segments of a larger organization. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Compensation Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Compensation Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.   • About the Role:

    Reporting to the Director - HR Business Partnering & Reward, you will manage global compensation policies & structures in consideration of the market and the Association's Total Reward Philosophy and Reward Strategy. This is a remote opportunity.

    You Will:

    • Manage the job analysis and documentation process for our organization; conduct job analyses and evaluations; partner with the business to create current job descriptions; determine appropriate salary grades and FLSA exemption status.
    • Manage the Association's salary structures and partner with external compensation vendors to research product offerings and obtain accurate market benchmarking data; oversee the salary survey participation process.
    • Lead the annual pay budgeting and review process, ensuring tools and systems meet requirements, developing communications and education material and monitoring pay decisions to ensure compliance with pay administration guidelines and budgetary guidelines.
    • Manage the Association's variable pay schemes, developing plan designs which meet our needs, implementing plan communications, ensuring accurate calculation, and processing of achievements & payouts and preparing analyses of plan effectiveness.
    • Manage the governance of all compensation policies, including auditable approvals and documentation for base pay adjustments and bonus payment, introducing tools and systemization to improve processes. Monitor and make recommendations regarding starting salaries, promotional increases, bonuses, and other pay decisions to ensure adherence to compensation policy.
    • Manage the effectiveness of compensation policy and decisions through regular comprehensive management reporting and data analysis, making recommendations for improvements or remedial actions.
    • Stay up to date with current applicable country, federal and state regulations and local best practices in compensation.

    You Have:

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • 5 years experience of compensation consulting and management
    • A professional qualification in Human Resource Management is desirable, but not essential.
