Compensation Director is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and performance management programs. Leads the compensation function and works with senior management to ensure that compensation strategy and programs support the organization's business objectives, meet all legal requirements, and deliver value and equitable pay. Being a Compensation Director develops compensation budget for assigned areas and manages budget after it is approved. Establishes data collection and analysis processes for market, pay equity, and other compensation studies. Additionally, Compensation Director may be responsible for entire organization or for one or more major segments of a larger organization. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Compensation Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Compensation Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     State Funds’ Enterprise Technical unit has an exciting opportunity for an Enterprise Security Analyst. The ideal candidate will have experience advising security leadership on matters related to regulatory and industry compliance risks. The incumbent will work under the leadership of the Enterprise Security Management and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

    In this role the Enterprise Security Analyst will:

    • Analyze complex incoming suspicious attempts (e.g., phishing, smishing, vishing) and make recommendations to stakeholders
    • Evaluate complex security incident response and forensic analysis
    • Analyze threat intelligence and recommend mitigating controls for new and persistent threats
    • Develop and deliver information security awareness training to the State Fund Workforce and also conduct simulated phishing and smishing campaigns
    • Interface with all State Fund programs and advise on projects’ security risks and mitigating controls
    • Train new team members including, but not limited to security incident response, forensic, and threat intelligence related to tickets/cases
    • Develop/maintain/recommend information security policies/standards/procedures in alignment with security frameworks as needed
    • Conduct complex Risk Assessments (RAs) as needed

    Position can be filled in: Humboldt, Solano, Riverside, Los Angeles, Shasta, Alameda, Sonoma, San Joaquin, Fresno, Kern, Orange, and Sacramento County.

    Candidates must reside in California to be eligible for this appointment.

    Telework may be available and is subject to change based on State Fund guidelines and business needs.

    Desirable Qualifications

    As a successful candidate, we are looking for candidates with the following skills and/or experience:

    • Proficient in effective communication across all organizational levels, adept at engaging with technical team member as well as senior leadership
    • Advanced experience of emerging security risks
    • Working experience with complex security incident response and forensic analysis
    • Working knowledge and understanding of information security risks and mitigations
    • Experience in developing/writing policies, guidelines, standards, and procedures
    • Advanced working knowledge and understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, PCI, etc.)
    • Expert knowledge in developing reporting and metric structure
    • CISA and/or CISSP certifications will be a plus
