Compensation Manager leads the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, policies, and procedures. Manages common compensation functions, including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development, incentive plan design, pay program administration and other associated initiatives. Being a Compensation Manager ensures that base pay, incentive pay and performance management programs remain competitive and conform to current compensation strategy. Directs data collection and analysis processes for market, pay equity, and other compensation studies. Additionally, Compensation Manager requires a bachelor's degree. May require a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Compensation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Compensation Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

    Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

    What your day-to-day will be like:

    • Work with compensation team leaders on goals to help accomplish department initiatives.
    • Participate in executive compensation salary surveys and coordinate annual benchmarking.
    • Review job profiles, internal comparisons, and external market data and trends to make compensation recommendations for executives and to develop executive offers.
    • Develop and analyze reports from our HR information system and stock plan systems.
    • Develop materials and supporting analysis for presentations to Leadership and the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors.
    • Support creation of internal communications related to executive compensation and LTI programs.
    • Prepare executive compensation tables and associated language to be included in the annual proxy statement.
    • Conduct proxy statement studies and analyses of other publicly available data sources to analyze executive and equity compensation programs, practices, and design features.

    How you will collaborate with others:

    • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Legal, and other business partners to implement compensation policies.
    • Partner with the corporate compensation and payroll teams to implement compensation changes.

    What projects you will take ownership of:

    • Support the annual year-end performance management process for executives including merit, bonus, and long-term incentives (LTI).
    • Partner with the equity team on the design and administration of Hilton’s LTI and Employee Stock Purchase Plans.

    WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

    You have these minimum qualifications:

    • Five (5) years of professional experience
    • Three (3) years of experience in compensation or related field
    • Proficiency in analytics and presentation tools, including Excel and PowerPoint
    • Proficiency in producing leadership-ready presentations

    It would be useful if you have:

    • Experience in executive compensation or creation of materials for SEC filings or the Board of Directors
    • Experience supporting LTI and Equity plans
    • Industry experience in hospitality or a related field
