Compensation Supervisor supervises a team working on compensation plans and programs and related analysis. Oversees common compensation projects, including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development, incentive plan design, pay program administration and other associated initiatives. Being a Compensation Supervisor ensures that compensation plans and programs are consistent with organizational policies and all applicable federal and state laws. Maintains salary structures and company compensation policies. Additionally, Compensation Supervisor is responsible for survey participation and compensation analysis. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification. Typically reports to a manager. The Compensation Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Compensation Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Job Summary
The Compensation Partner will be responsible for assisting in setting the strategic direction for the compensation function and in implementing that strategy for the company on a global basis. This position will help plan and implement new compensation programs, policies, and procedures. The Compensation Partner will also be responsible for administering the company compensation programs in compliance with company policies and government regulations, as well as ensuring a timely participation in relevant compensation surveys.
Essential Functions
Assist designing and building an innovative, competitive, and analytically driven global compensation structure and administer the company’s global compensation programs in compliance with company policies and government regulations.
Benchmark jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
Gather data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.
Evaluate and implement job analysis instruments and materials.
Oversee participation in and use of salary surveys to ensure corporate compensation programs are competitive. Use salary survey data and comp expertise to recommend appropriate comp positioning for key roles.
Perform market analysis and provide insight for new and existing roles.
Audit job descriptions for content such as job responsibilities, activities, duties, and requirements and ensure that they have been appropriately assigned to the correct job family and level within the organization.
Implement analytics for new or existing compensation programs and execute job evaluations and workforce classification projects.
Plan and manage compensation, program administration, and automation projects for the compensation team.
Respond to compensation-related questions from managers, HR business partners and recruiters.
Perform ad hoc analysis and planning to continuously improve our compensation programs and processes.
Prepare training content and assist in the delivery of training for HR, business leaders and employees, as appropriate.
Required/Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in business, human resources, or a related field required
At least eight years of compensation or human resources experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong understanding of broad-based compensation programs (base/bonus/LTI), pay for performance, benchmarking/market data, job evaluation, etc.
Solid understanding of FLSA classification and the ability make determinations.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and a deep interest in analyzing data to drive sound decision-making; Workday experience a plus.
Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands.
Ability to build relationships of trust and interpersonal skills to interact favorably with all levels of business contacts.
