Compensation and Benefits Director manages the design, implementation, administration, communication, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures. Ensures that compensation and benefits programs support the organization's business objectives and meet all legal requirements. Provision of optimum assistance to the System Director of Human Resources Services in designing, implementing, evaluating, and administering an effective compensation program for all employees. Ensure CAMC's compliance with all state and federal regulations governing compensation practices.
Responsibilities
• Maintain a system of ongoing market analysis, ensuring that CAMC remains at an appropriate level of competitiveness for all positions. Compile and analyze local, regional, and national compensation data for assigned positions. • Initiate analyses on specific positions as indicated by the market data or as required otherwise. • Provide the Director with recommendations to address any market place concerns on a routine basis. • Perform complex analyses on information gathered from surveys and other information collected in order to develop recommendations for the development, revision and maintenance of CAMC's compensation program. • Design, educate, implement and evaluate any additional incentive or supplemental pay programs as approved. • Present HRU programs for department managers aimed at promoting the understanding and application of regulations concerning wages, hours, working conditions, and other compensation practices and policies. • Continuously update HR University information content and examples. • Maintain a thorough understanding of all relevant company policies which affect pay, including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, discipline, and payroll policies. • Serve as primary contact for department managers when questions arise concerning pay corrections, compensation policies and procedures, and adherence to federal and state regulations. • Receive requests for the development of job descriptions for new positions, working with the department manager to obtain all relevant information. Assign appropriate salary, grade/range to new positions. Evaluate for FLSA exemption status. Document accordingly. • Analyze job description revisions and incumbent salaries upon job reevaluation, and make adjustment recommendations. • Responsible for implementing necessary adjustments following approval of the recommendations. • Conduct job analysis as necessary to gain a personal perspective of the duties and responsibilities of the role being analyzed. • Monitor salary changes for adherence to policies. • Perform departmental audits within CAMC to ensure compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act which is enforced by the Federal Wage and Hour Division of the e U.S. Department of Labor. • Make written and verbal presentations to management at the conclusion of the audit, discussing deficiencies and recommending corrective action for inconsistencies which may exist. • Responsible for the development/maintenance of specific salary programs for various institutions and organizations with which CAMC has entered into contractual agreement to provide management services. • Participate as an active member on assigned teams to accomplish department, Human Resources, and system goals.

Education
• Bachelor's Degree (Required) Experience: 3 years related professional capacity. Requires the ability to perform advanced mathematical calculations and statistical analyses. Substitution: May substitute Masters Degree and 2 years related experience for bachelor and 3 years experience. Or may substitute bachelors with 2 years experience plus applicable professional certification for bachelor and 3 years experience.
