Compensation and Benefits Director manages the design, implementation, administration, communication, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures. Ensures that compensation and benefits programs support the organization's business objectives and meet all legal requirements. Being a Compensation and Benefits Director develops and manages compensation and benefits budgets. Oversees compensation processes, including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development, base pay administration, incentive plan design and analysis. Additionally, Compensation and Benefits Director manages benefits planning and programs including health and welfare, retirement, and work life. May select and manage outsourced providers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Compensation and Benefits Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Compensation and Benefits Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. The director will oversee staff and their development, child care compliance and quality, programing, fundraising, seeking and meeting grant requirements, financial compliance, and community relations and work with the Carver Community Center Board to continue the Center’s long history serving the community.
Qualifications include:
· Management experience and familiarity with budgets
· Meet ODJFS’s required qualifications for a Child Care Administrator [OAC 5101:2-12- 07 Appendix A]
· 3-5 years childcare experience
· Familiarity with ODJFS’s “Step Up to Quality".
· Grant and fundraising experience
· Effective individual and community communication skills
· Demonstrated desire to help those in need
· Pass background check
