Compensation and Benefits Manager manages the design, implementation, administration, communication, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures. Ensures that compensation and benefits programs support the organization's business objectives and meet all legal requirements. Being a Compensation and Benefits Manager develops and manages compensation and benefits budgets. Oversees compensation processes, including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development, base pay administration, incentive plan design and analysis. Additionally, Compensation and Benefits Manager manages benefits planning and programs including health and welfare, retirement, and work life. May select and manage outsourced providers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Compensation and Benefits Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Compensation and Benefits Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Your primary objective will be to build strong relationships with clients, generate leads, and facilitate the enrollment process while delivering exceptional customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responds to new or existing customer inquiries regarding potential coverage and/or issues/renewal with current coverage. Conducts outbound sales calls to prospective clients utilizing the organization's online candidate listing resource for the "Turning 65 Campaign." Conducts a review of customer demographics to determine which options might be the most attractive regarding plan benefits, physician/facility network, and specific costs for services. Educates existing and potential clients on the benefits and features of ICHRA and Medicare insurance plans, ensuring they have a clear understanding of the coverage options available to them; recommends plans to establish new coverage or enhance existing coverage. Addresses questions regarding coverage details and any changes/adjustments on healthcare plan design, pharmacy networks and drug formularies. Confirms the customer understands the comparative risks associated with the various plans considered and the pros/cons of the coverage they have selected. Finalizes the customer application and enrollment process by electronic means/data entry or by the completion of a manual booklet; creates an electronic customer file to document and verify all elements of the transaction. Develops and implements effective sales strategies to generate leads, expand the customer base, and achieve individual and team sales targets. Collaborates with the marketing team to participate in outreach programs, community events, and promotional campaigns to increase brand awareness and attract potential clients. Remains highly sensitive to the personal information provided to ensure customer confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Resolves customer issues regarding unpaid claims and/or various problems with their coverage; serves as a trusted advisor to each account. Builds highly personal relationships with all customers; maintains and grows a book of business through customer referrals; able to handle a high volume of new sales activity while retaining existing customers through the development of proactive relationships. Maintains Continuing Education (CE), Affordable Care Act (ACA), and Medicare accreditation required by carriers and/or licensing body to represent/sell an organization's products; completes various training programs to remain current with product specifics.
