Compensation and Benefits Manager manages the design, implementation, administration, communication, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures. Ensures that compensation and benefits programs support the organization's business objectives and meet all legal requirements. Being a Compensation and Benefits Manager develops and manages compensation and benefits budgets. Oversees compensation processes, including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development, base pay administration, incentive plan design and analysis. Additionally, Compensation and Benefits Manager manages benefits planning and programs including health and welfare, retirement, and work life. May select and manage outsourced providers. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Compensation and Benefits Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Compensation and Benefits Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. The incumbent in this job will function as a subject matter resource to the organization's leaders in all facets of employee pay administration. Pay administration includes, but will not be limited to, the creation and maintenance of pay ranges, the assignment of jobs to pay ranges, reviewing job descriptions for assignment to pay ranges, the management of employee pay within pay ranges, establishing job rates, participating in salary surveys, monitoring of salary practices in the various labor markets, and administration and front-end troubleshooting of PeopleSoft's Manager Self-Service and ePerformance. The incumbent will also interact with regulatory and other agencies, such as The Joint Commission, who have oversight of the operation of the organization's facilities and employees.

Employees in this position will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a "non-frequent driver."
NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
Minimum Pay Rate - Hourly: $36.42
Midpoint Pay Rate - Hourly: $49.52
