Competitive Pricing Analyst provides analysis of revenue, market share, capacity, and competitor activity to develop optimal pricing for geographies and market segments aligned with products and sales strategy. Conducts market research, assesses data, and develops insights into market trends and pricing strategies. Being a Competitive Pricing Analyst maintains a database of historical pricing data to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing and guide pricing decisions. Coordinates tools, reports, and communications for accurate pricing information responsive to market changes. Additionally, Competitive Pricing Analyst typically requires a bachelor's degree in business or related discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Competitive Pricing Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Required Skills:- Experience working with Life and/or Annuity products.
- Strong technical and communication skills.
- Life pricing experience, preferably 5 years.
- Most incumbents have completed most, if not all, coursework for attaining Associateship (ASA) (5 - 6 exams/online courses).
- Typically requires 7 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
- Be proficient with actuarial pricing models and complete work independently.
- Be familiar with relevant laws, regulations and guidelines and ensure contracts and annual testing such as illustration regulations are compliant.
- Communicates results to management, verbally, in writing or in presentation form. Documents work according to actuarial standards of practice.
- Works towards actuarial designation from the Society of Actuaries.
