Important responsibilities in this role will include:

• Help to support one of our clients, a large industrial & automotive lubricants firm, with their pricing analysis work in the following areas:

Pricing Calculations:

• Periodically update pricing calculations for lubricant SKUs based on input costs, including macroeconomic data, base oil prices, and additive pricing indicators.
• Input internal cost elements such as blending cost and allocate costs across different distribution channels.
• Update preexisting models, including potential use of the ERP tool, on a monthly basis.

Pricing Output Processing:

• Process pricing output for distributors, including OEM workshops, retailers, and regional sales partners.
• Handle pricing calculations at various levels for different countries, with a particular emphasis on the US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil.
• Manage various levels of pricing, including Cost Price, Net Net Price, and Trade List Price, updated monthly.
• Develop an understanding of regional and country-level taxes, including excise/import duty for imported lubricants.
• Implement robust QC mechanisms for pricing models to ensure accuracy.

Interventions:

• Run pricing calculations based on custom inputs during 'market events,' including sudden changes in input costs, competitor actions, or significant wins/losses.
• Respond to requests from marketing or sales teams with quick turnaround times.

Analysis:

• Undertake ad hoc analysis of pricing adherence based on actual market data.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on analysis findings.
• Additional Tasks (During Low Workload):
• Support the client team in developing process maps.
• Manage information gathering for the project implementation.

Skills we’re looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Finance, Business, Economics, etc.) or relevant equivalent experience.
• It will be preferable if you have proven experience in pricing analysis or a related field, especially in the lubricants or automotive industry.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using pricing models and tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Prior experience with ERP tools is a plus.

• Proficient with Excel and report creation.
