Position Summary
The Pricing Analyst will play an important role in optimizing pricing strategy supported by market data and trends. The position will be responsible for conducting market analysis to evaluate competitive pricing and lead times. Assess customer needs to develop pricing models that maximize profits and ensure customer satisfaction and market competitiveness.
Primary Responsibilities
· Develop pricing forecasts and models to support revenue projections and financial planning. Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate pricing insights, performance metrics, and recommendations.
· Work with sales to develop pricing proposals for key accounts and strategic deals that protect and improve pricing margins.
· Provide guidance and support to sales leadership on pricing negotiations and discounting strategies that promote distributor programs.
· Manage key customer agreements and incentive programs.
· Analyze pricing data from industry standards, previous sales trends, and competitors. Evaluate the potential effect of pricing changes on overall profitability. Communicate insights and recommendations to management.
· Monitor the financial performance of implemented pricing strategies, analyzing actual outcomes against projected results.
· Develop measurement tools to identify changing market trends and suggest strategies or opportunities for increased profits.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or related field preferred
. Strong understanding of pricing methodologies, cost structures, market dynamics, and best practices.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, focusing on continuous improvement and innovation.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel and Power Query.
· Experience in the cutting tool industry, a plus.
