Central Pricing Coordinator

  • SUMMARY: The Central Pricing Coordinator oversees item pricing and merchandise additions and deletions in the database and provides IT Support to all stores. Responsible for ensuring pricing data in the database and accuracy of automated pricing system. Provides reports to management as needed. This position works closely with retail staff in maintaining customer services, generating sales, merchandising signing, pricing, cash register operations (POS), IT support and loss prevention in adherence to all company policy/store standards.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Maintain pricing in Host and deploys to all stores.

    · Communicates pricing to all stores and works with each store’s POS associate to ensure pricing is executed and updated. Will audit stores for pricing compliance.

    · May assist with installation, configuration, hardware, basic networking, maintaining, and troubleshooting a wide range of software used throughout the company.

    · Troubleshoot problems with all technical systems.

    · Communicates with all members of the Central Team to help execute business initiatives.

    · Builds list of promotional items each month to execute to the stores.

    · Needs to be proficient in Excel to build imports into the POS system.

    · Maintain labels and signage for Sales.

    · Must work on the last day and the 1st of every month to ensure tags and signage are hung and that sale prices are correct in POS system.

    · Maintains communication with our loyalty provider to ensure that customer information is current.

    · Provides loyalty provider with promotional information to run coupons and promotions.

    · Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service.

    · Help educate customers about our products and our store philosophy.

    · Inform every customer of our loyalty program, in-store classes and events, customer rewards program.

    · Attend mandatory monthly store meetings.

    · Other duties as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position may have supervision over other POS Coordinators.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    TRAVEL: Local travel may be required.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of grocery and/or retail experience with POS experience required. Knowledge of natural and organic foods highly desired.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurements, volume, and distance.

    COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, a knowledge of Microsoft office, internet usage and POS knowledge is required. Must be proficient in Excel.
