Competitive Pricing Manager assists with the pricing analysis of revenue, market share, capacity, and competitor activity to provide pricing for products, geographies, and market segments aligned with products and sales strategy. Conducts market research and intelligence gathering and recommends pricing targets. Being a Competitive Pricing Manager maintains competitive pricing databases to monitor changes in the marketplace and their impact on new and existing products. Performs analyses to test customer price sensitivity and elasticity. Additionally, Competitive Pricing Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree in business or related discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Competitive Pricing Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.
As a Pricing Analyst, your role will encompass a range of critical responsibilities. You will be tasked with developing, evaluating, and implementing pricing strategies that are comprehensive and finely tuned. This involves utilizing a variety of inputs such as manufacturing and engineering labor estimates, actual costs incurred to date, supplier quotes, historical purchase order data, and an understanding of competitive market dynamics. Your role will extend to aligning pricing strategies with the requirements of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring adherence to company policies, and ultimately supporting corporate business objectives. Your analyses and decisions will impact pricing across all product categories, including Engineered Solutions, Distribution Stock, Services, and Manufactured Stock sales. Your expertise and attention to detail will be essential in driving pricing decisions that are not only competitive but also strategically aligned with the overarching goals of the organization.
REQUIREMENTS & CONDITIONS
Education: Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or other Financial related discipline. Experience may be accepted in leu of education requirements.
Experience: 2 years’ experience in Business Related field

The Pricing analysis must have the ability to extract detailed data from multiple systems, individual contributors and basic business knowledge to help develop pricing strategies and support daily operations through the maintenance of price structures for the organization. The Pricing Analyst must be an independent thinker who is willing to work within the bounds as determined by the Executive Team and possess the fortitude to maintain both role and personal integrity regardless of business climate or external pressures.
