Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or master’s degree preferred
• Approximately 5 to 7 years of related work experience, with at least 3 years in a hospital setting
• Strong organizational and management skills
• Proficiency in using personal computers, including advanced knowledge of word processor and spreadsheet software programs, databases, and query tools
• Ability to apply advanced accounting techniques to evaluate existing procedures and recommend methods for improving efficiency and reducing costs
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and statistics for preparing monthly financial statements and reconciling accounts
• Systems knowledge and computer usage exposure to ensure high data integrity for financial and statistical information
• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance at the assigned job location

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate existing procedures for recording financial transactions and recommend methods for reducing time and cost of accounting operations
• Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by staying updated through literature, conferences, and seminars
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reconcile accounts using knowledge of basic accounting principles and statistics
• Interact effectively with a variety of internal contacts and outside service providers
• Ensure high data integrity for all financial and statistical information maintained or distributed from accounting systems
