Performs analyses to test customer price sensitivity and elasticity. Additionally, Competitive Pricing Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree in business or related discipline. The Pricing & Estimating Manager is responsible for the development of pricing and estimates in response to any business opportunity requiring services or in response to a Request for Proposal (RFP). This position should be knowledge of pricing and estimating trends and methods in the government contracting arena. This includes allocating available material and labor resources within estimates; honoring the constraints of scope, schedule, and budget as defined in the pricing and estimating approach; and developing operational budgets based on submitted estimates or internal budgetary needs.
