Competitive Pricing Manager assists with the pricing analysis of revenue, market share, capacity, and competitor activity to provide pricing for products, geographies, and market segments aligned with products and sales strategy. Conducts market research and intelligence gathering and recommends pricing targets. Being a Competitive Pricing Manager maintains competitive pricing databases to monitor changes in the marketplace and their impact on new and existing products. Performs analyses to test customer price sensitivity and elasticity. Additionally, Competitive Pricing Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree in business or related discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Competitive Pricing Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. The Sr. Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies for the company’s products or services. What You’ll Need
5 – 8 years of pricing, marketing, and/or finance experience, preferably in a distributed services organization.
What Will Set You Apart
Strong data analysis skills, ability to analyze and interpret data.
Initiative; originate productive actions without specific instructions; generate new ideas, processes and approaches to meet business needs.
Effective oral and written communication skills with an ability to efficiently communicate financial results to both financially and non-financially oriented persons.
Strong Problem-solving abilities – aptitude for identifying issues in rebate processes and developing practical solutions.
Functional knowledge of financial reporting systems and methodologies for reporting using business intelligence tools are a plus.
Ability to formally present business strategies and action plans. Demonstrates logical analysis and problem-solving skills.
