Competitive Pricing Manager assists with the pricing analysis of revenue, market share, capacity, and competitor activity to provide pricing for products, geographies, and market segments aligned with products and sales strategy. Conducts market research and intelligence gathering and recommends pricing targets. Being a Competitive Pricing Manager maintains competitive pricing databases to monitor changes in the marketplace and their impact on new and existing products. Performs analyses to test customer price sensitivity and elasticity. Additionally, Competitive Pricing Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree in business or related discipline. Typically reports to a manager. The Competitive Pricing Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Competitive Pricing Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Frequently Asked Questions What is a day in the life of a Senior Financial Analyst - Pricing? Analyze product purchase prices and margins for potential and existing brand partners, ensuring timely turnaround to Sales and Brand Management teams and accurate assumptions and margin results for the company Collaborate with Sales team to understand potential partners’ product catalogs, eCommerce challenges, and sales channel situations Develop and refine pricing processes to ensure accurate sales qualification and data receipt, increased analysis automation, accurate assumptions, and optimal communication and transparency Track and report pricing analysis performance metrics including volume, turn-around, revenue and margin realization, win rate, customer acquisition costs, and payback What will I need to thrive in this role? Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or other related field 3 years’ experience as an analyst, specifically in finance Experience creating financial models Excellent MS Excel skills, familiarity with Google Sheets and SQL Ecommerce industry experience preferred What does high performance look like?
