Compliance Analyst (Banking) jobs in Grand Rapids, MI

Compliance Analyst (Banking) monitors customer accounts and researches transactions to identify suspicious activity violating current anti-money laundering (AML) regulations defined in the US Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) or other governmental anti-terrorist financing programs. Uses customer data mining and software tools to identify suspicious activity patterns. Being a Compliance Analyst (Banking) reviews daily Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) and Questionable Activity Reports (QAR), and submits Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) as appropriate. Ensures adherence to Know your Customer (KYC) protocols. Additionally, Compliance Analyst (Banking) may lead or participate in investigations of suspicious activity to pursue corrective actions and ensure completion of required filings. Keeps abreast with regulatory changes, risk management best practices, and trending methods used by fraud perpetrators. Delivers compliance training with up-to-date regulatory information and procedures to develop and guide a well-informed staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May have the Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification. Typically reports to a manager. The Compliance Analyst (Banking) work is closely managed.     What it's like to be a Digital Banking Technical Support Analyst at Digital Banking Technical Support Analyst

    As a Digital Banking Technical Support Analyst at Mercantile Bank, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our digital banking platforms. You'll be responsible for monitoring daily automated tasks, promptly addressing any errors or delays that may arise, and providing Tier III support to both our Retail and Business Call Centers. Your expertise will be invaluable in diagnosing and resolving day-to-day operational issues, collaborating with vendors to resolve technical hitches, and offering top-tier customer support for various online and mobile banking services. In addition to serving as an escalation point for critical issues, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to software enhancements, update department procedures, and collaborate on projects with our Digital Tech team.

    Are you the Digital Banking Technical Support Analyst we're looking for?

    To excel as a Digital Banking Technical Support Analyst at Mercantile Bank, proficiency in a range of technical skills is essential. This includes a strong command of computer programs like Microsoft Office, as well as detailed knowledge of online and mobile banking applications. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Apple, Windows, Android, and iOS operating systems, along with familiarity with Apple and PC hardware components.

    The ability to troubleshoot software issues effectively is crucial for success in this role. If you are tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and adept at solving complex technical challenges, you have the skills we are looking for to thrive in our innovative and customer-centric environment.

    Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

    • Strong working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office
    • Strong working knowledge of online & mobile banking applications
    • Candidate should have general knowledge of Apple and Windows as well as Android and iOS operating system(s)
    • Apple and PC related hardware components
    • General software troubleshooting skills
    • (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g. information technology certifications in lieu of a degree)

    SCHEDULE

    This position will have some flexibility in hours as on occasion will require earlier hours, later hours and weekend hours. The first couple months will be fully in office while learning and getting your feet wet. After this training period this position can work from home 2-3 days a week.
