Compliance Analyst (Banking) monitors customer accounts and researches transactions to identify suspicious activity violating current anti-money laundering (AML) regulations defined in the US Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) or other governmental anti-terrorist financing programs. Uses customer data mining and software tools to identify suspicious activity patterns. Being a Compliance Analyst (Banking) reviews daily Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) and Questionable Activity Reports (QAR), and submits Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) as appropriate. Ensures adherence to Know your Customer (KYC) protocols. Additionally, Compliance Analyst (Banking) may lead or participate in investigations of suspicious activity to pursue corrective actions and ensure completion of required filings. Keeps abreast with regulatory changes, risk management best practices, and trending methods used by fraud perpetrators. Delivers compliance training with up-to-date regulatory information and procedures to develop and guide a well-informed staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May have the Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification. Typically reports to a manager. The Compliance Analyst (Banking) work is closely managed.   • POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Employment Compliance Analyst role at Power is responsible for supporting the employment compliance team within the Legal Department. This role will support efforts to conduct internal audits, employee investigations, and assists with employment litigations.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The following statements reflect the general duties and responsibilities considered necessary to perform the essential functions of the job, and should not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements of the position.     • Supports the Employment Compliance Manager.
    • Assists with employment compliance audits, process and document reviews, and employment investigations.
    • Conducts research for training materials and guidance to internal teams.
    • Proactively identifies potential concerns regarding employment practices and policies.
    • Collaborates with Legal and HR teams to develop and update employment policies and procedures.
    • Communicates changes in policies to relevant stakeholders.
    • Conducts periodic reviews to confirm that employment records meet compliance standards.
    • Provides analysis and recommendations to enhance compliance efforts.
    • Works closely with outside counsel on employment litigation and related matters.
    • Conducts research in support of projects as directed by legal counsel.
    • Follows up on contacts made by the in-house legal team to support ongoing relationships inside and outside of the company.
    • Must be able to sit at a desk and speak on the phone for eight hours per day.
    • Other duties as assigned from time to time.

    CORE COMPETENCIES:

    The Employment Compliance Analyst must be able to task switch in a fast-paced environment, anticipate last-minute changes, and be a resourceful team player who can also function independently.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s Degree, with a Human Resource or Political Science major, preferred.
    • Employment compliance, human resources, or comparable experience, preferred.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Demonstrated knowledge of human resources management and compliance.
    • Highly organized with attention to detail and be able to prioritize under pressure.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Positive attitude, with a passion for learning and a creative approach to problem-solving.
    • Resourceful team player who is also effective independently.
    • Excellent computer skills including Apple Pages, Numbers, Keynote, Mail and Microsoft Office.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    The Employment Compliance Analyst works in an office setting. Some travel is required.
