Keystone Compliance, a regulatory compliance test lab located in New Castle, PA, is currently seeking candidates for an Mechanical Test Technician position. This position provides a unique opportunity for candidates to apply theory and hands-on capabilities to obtain, design, implement and execute test programs for commercial and military devices under development across a multitude of industries. The environmental testing laboratory performs tests such as:

• Shock, Vibration, & Acceleration
• Temperature & Humidity
• Altitude
• Corrosion
• Rain, Wind, Ice
• Solar Radiation
• Fungus Resistance
• Chemical Resistance
• Water and Dust Ingress Protection
• Mechanical Impact
• Life Cycling
• Package Testing

The Mechanical Test Technician reports to the laboratory manager and interacts with customers and other test technicians, program managers, and report writers within the company.

• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Planning and executing test programs with a high level of quality to meet scheduled demands.
• Communicating with customers to plan and troubleshoot test programs.
• Coordinating testing with external partners and other internal departments.
• Using CAD software to design and build vibration fixtures and test setups.
• Performing market and technical research on new types of test methods to expand the lab’s scope.
• Assisting with acquisition, calibration and repair of test equipment.
• Developing and updating internal lab operating procedures.
• Preparing engineering estimates to support quoting test programs and department budgets.

Additional requirements of this position include:

• Proficient with MS Office and CAD software
• Able to lift 75 pounds without stress
• Able to work nights and weekends when required
