Compliance Analyst (Banking), Sr. monitors customer accounts and researches transactions to identify suspicious activity violating current anti-money laundering (AML) regulations defined in the US Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) or other governmental anti-terrorist financing programs. Uses customer data mining and software tools to identify suspicious activity patterns. Being a Compliance Analyst (Banking), Sr. reviews daily Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) and Questionable Activity Reports (QAR), and submits Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) as appropriate. Ensures adherence to Know your Customer (KYC) protocols. Additionally, Compliance Analyst (Banking), Sr. may lead or participate in investigations of suspicious activity to pursue corrective actions and ensure completion of required filings. Keeps abreast with regulatory changes, risk management best practices, and trending methods used by fraud perpetrators. Delivers compliance training with up-to-date regulatory information and procedures to develop and guide a well-informed staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May have the Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification. Typically reports to a manager. Key job responsibilities
The AHS Compliance Sr Business Analyst supports the collection and interpretation of insightful data analytics across the organization. You will do so through with the support of senior management by managing metrics reporting and performing big data analysis to provide strategic advice on business operational performance.
You will collect business use cases, research and evaluate opportunities to help Amazon Health Services leverage its data to support business functions through mathematical modeling.
You will utilize database technologies (e.g.SQL) to design, develop, and evaluate highly innovative business intelligence tools and automated reports for Compliance targeting and optimization.
In essence, you transform complicated business problems into data-driven solutions, identifying opportunities to improve our existing operation, driving process improvement projects and developing dashboards and real-time analytics to inform decision-making in our growing Compliance operations network.
A day in the life
-Designing and building analytics tools for our growing and evolving Health space.
-Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.
-Measuring and triggering proactive audits and financial impact of our operations
-Partnering with our Compliance operations, Billing Compliance, Monitoring, Data Engineering and Product teams to identify new workflow automation opportunities through observation and analysis
-Supporting software product decisions with quantified ROI analyses for feature development and prioritization to address improvement opportunities
-Supporting cross-functional teams on the day-to-day execution of the existent program implementation
