Compliance Director (Banking) manages operations to identify and respond to suspicious activity violating current anti-money laundering (AML) regulations as defined in the US Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) or other governmental anti-terrorist financing programs. Implements oversight systems, interdiction software, and audit processes to perform daily transaction monitoring and identify suspicious activity patterns. Being a Compliance Director (Banking) monitors activity and ensures adherence to Know your Customer (KYC) protocols and regulatory requirements for required filings and reporting. Leads investigations of suspicious activity to pursue corrective actions and ensure completion of required filings. Additionally, Compliance Director (Banking) maintains extensive knowledge of financial regulations, risk management best practices, and changing fraudulent trends to develop and implement appropriate compliance procedures. Delivers compliance training with up-to-date regulatory information and procedures to develop and guide well-informed staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May have the Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification. Typically reports to a director. The Compliance Director (Banking) typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Compliance Director (Banking) typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • Scope of Duties:

    Under general supervision, monitors and evaluates grant-funded programs for compliance, and provide support as new funding opportunities are sought. Performs advanced management/analysis work related to grants compliance and evaluation. Evening and weekend work may be necessary during peak periods.

    Essential Job Functions:

    Grants Compliance and Oversight:

    1. Completes all required writing, budgets, MOU’s, reports and forms related to current contract renewals to include federal, state, and local government, foundation, and United Way grant applications that align with the mission and values of CASFV.

    2. Ensures timely and accurate submission of such applications to respective funding sources. Will be responsible for assuring that agency maintains the highest ratings possible in accordance with contracting rules and procedures.

    3. Maintain calendar to ensure timely submission of proposal deadlines and reports.

    4. Submits all required budget and performance measurement reports to funding agencies to ensure compliance with all reporting requirements on a timely basis. Work with finance team on needed information, documentation and budgets for grants and reports.

    5. Coordinate with department directors to gather information and data for a narrative that best communicates the needs of the agency and its programs to sustain and grow. Work closely with program staff to conceptualize, write and edit grant submission and reports. Conferring with other departments or agencies to obtain information, surveying agency needs or gaps in services. Train staff associated with grants throughout the organization on compliance, expected performance measures, relevant deliverables and related procedures.

    6. Maintain current demographic data as well as information on issues and the community. Research and communicate statistics to maintain current trends, industry and program data.

    7. Performs grant management and monitoring. Involves conducting regular site visits for the purposes of monitoring and evaluating all current contracts. As such, will regularly assess performance measures to assure compliance on all aspects of current contracts. Site visits and monitoring will include inspections, interviews with involved staff to ascertain success of programs recording and monitoring progress reports, and preparing quantitative and qualitative reports to management with results of monitoring.

    8. Review data collection process for client information to ensure accurate information for all program operations in accordance with contract/grant compliance. Regularly evaluates process for efficiency and accuracy. Conducts random quality assurance tests.

    9. Researches federal, state, local, and private funding sources to determine the availability of grants and analyzes feasibility of applying for grant to fully fund or supplement annual budgets of current projects/programs. Conducts research on public and private prospects.

    10. Coordinate the production of a range of materials for donor solicitation and cultivation. Write and proofread reports, proposals, correspondence, presentations and publications. Performs research related to the development of new grant projects.

    11. Establish and maintain professional communication and working relationships, as appropriate, with foundation, sponsors, contract and government program officers,

    12. Maintain electronic files, physical files and database for records and audits.

    Other Duties:

    1. Increase the Center’s visibility in the community by attending assigned meetings and participating on behalf of the agency.

    2. Make community presentations about Center on an on-call basis.

    3. Assists and contributes to development of non-grant funded activities as assigned.

    4. Support special event planning, preparation and implementation.

    5. Assist with other special projects as requested.

    6. Perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Training and Experience:

    Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, English, Public Administration or closely related field and 5 years of professional experience in grant writing and compliance or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

    · Highly developed persuasive writing, analytical and research skills. Considerable knowledge of English and grammar, spelling and punctuation.

    · Superior knowledge of grant management and compliance to include program evaluation, budget development and review.

    · Experience in research and development of federal, state and local grants;

    · Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills. Must have the ability to communicate effectively to instill confidence and trust among varied staff members.

    · Experience in delivering presentations before public groups.

    · Knowledge of working with volunteers, developing and organizing systems and people.

    · Ability to develop positive relationships and interact professionally with a diverse population of stakeholders, colleagues and potential funders.

    · Excellent computer fluency to effectively utilize Word, Excel and database applications.

    · Excellent and proven follow-through skills.

    · Superior administration and organizational skills and multi-project management skills.

    · Meticulous attention to detail.

    · Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and work well under pressure.

    · Ability to meet deadlines on a consistent basis.

    · Should be creative, articulate and diplomatic.

    · Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

    · Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to move projects forward in a fast-paced environment.

    · Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality

    · Strong self-starter who feels comfortable taking the initiative in problem solving in order to meet the needs of clients, volunteers and staff.

    · Willingness to work flexible and irregular hours during peak periods.
    Special Qualifications: Ability to speak and present in Spanish a plus
