Compliance Director - Healthcare designs and implements programs, policies, and practices to ensure that organization complies with JCAHO, HIPAA, and accreditation standards. Builds and maintains programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Being a Compliance Director - Healthcare directs the collection and analysis of data to meet compliance requirements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Compliance Director - Healthcare typically reports to top management. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Must have how to turn off main power supply, water supply, and/or gas supply to facility
Must be able to see small details, in equipment, machinery, etc.
Must be knowledgeable of Exposure Control Plan for Bloodborne Pathogens and Fire & Disaster Plan, and follow policies and procedures
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for budget, accounts payable, department employees, reports and required documentation
Responsible for Preventative Maintenance program and ensures compliance according to local, state and federal regulations.
Maintains all facility equipment in a safe and functioning manner.
Maintains furnishings and grounds, plumbing and electrical fixtures
Responsible for fire safety
Participates in Quality Improvement and Department Head meetings
