Compliance Manager (Banking) supervises daily operations to identify and respond to suspicious activity violating current anti-money laundering (AML) regulations as defined in the US Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) or other governmental anti-terrorist financing programs. Uses oversight systems, interdiction software, and audit processes to perform daily transaction monitoring and identify suspicious activity patterns. Being a Compliance Manager (Banking) monitors activity and ensures adherence to Know your Customer (KYC) protocols and regulatory requirements for required filings and reporting. Leads investigations of suspicious activity to pursue corrective actions and ensure completion of required filings. Additionally, Compliance Manager (Banking) maintains extensive knowledge of financial regulations, risk management best practices, and changing fraudulent trends to develop and implement appropriate compliance procedures. Delivers compliance training with up-to-date regulatory information and procedures to develop and guide well-informed staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May have the Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification. Typically reports to a director. The Compliance Manager (Banking) supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Compliance Manager (Banking) typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.     The Position:

    The Payroll Labor Compliance Manager specializes in advising and guiding the organization on union labor compliance and inter-union reciprocity, ensuring that payroll practices align with union agreements and labor regulations across different states. This role supports internal stakeholders by interpreting and implementing union-related payroll guidelines and ensuring compliance with relevant laws.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Union Labor Guidance:
    • Serve as the primary advisor on all union-related payroll matters, providing expert advice to payroll, HR, and other internal stakeholders.
    • Interpret union agreements and labor laws to develop payroll guidelines that accommodate the specific needs and requirements of different unions.
    1. Inter-Union Reciprocity:
    • Manage the assessment and integration of reciprocity agreements between different unions, ensuring seamless payroll transitions and compliance.
    • Facilitate communication and coordination among unions to harmonize payroll practices across states and regions.
    1. Stakeholder Support and Training:
    • Conduct training sessions for payroll and HR teams on union agreements, labor laws, and their implications for payroll processes.
    • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership to support decision-making processes related to union negotiations and compliance.
    1. Compliance Strategy Development:
    • Develop strategic compliance frameworks that align with ongoing and future union negotiations.
    • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments that affect union payroll practices and advise on necessary adjustments.
    1. System Maintenance and Updates:
    • Maintain and update internal payroll systems to reflect current labor rates and fringe benefits as outlined in union agreements.
    • Ensure all system updates are accurate and implemented in a timely manner, facilitating effective payroll management.
    1. Compliance Oversight:
    • Ensure all payroll processes comply with federal, state, and local regulations as well as specific union agreements.
    • Oversee and manage updates to payroll systems to accommodate new union agreements and changes in labor laws.
    1. Problem Resolution:
    • Address and resolve complex payroll issues that involve multi-state regulations and multiple union rules.

    The Candidate:
