Compliance Manager (Banking) jobs in Fort Collins, CO

Compliance Manager (Banking) supervises daily operations to identify and respond to suspicious activity violating current anti-money laundering (AML) regulations as defined in the US Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) or other governmental anti-terrorist financing programs. Uses oversight systems, interdiction software, and audit processes to perform daily transaction monitoring and identify suspicious activity patterns. Being a Compliance Manager (Banking) monitors activity and ensures adherence to Know your Customer (KYC) protocols and regulatory requirements for required filings and reporting. Leads investigations of suspicious activity to pursue corrective actions and ensure completion of required filings. Additionally, Compliance Manager (Banking) maintains extensive knowledge of financial regulations, risk management best practices, and changing fraudulent trends to develop and implement appropriate compliance procedures. Delivers compliance training with up-to-date regulatory information and procedures to develop and guide well-informed staff. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May have the Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification. Typically reports to a director. The Compliance Manager (Banking) supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Compliance Manager (Banking) typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.     • Status: Full-time, 40/hrs. week 

    What You’ll Do:

    This role is responsible for providing direction and support to the Director of Compliance and other members of the Compliance team. The Compliance Manager will facilitate and support Compliance staff development and will effectively communicate with both internal and external customers regarding their needs from the Compliance staff. The Compliance Manager will foster a culture of safety and compliance across the organization. This position will demonstrate a commitment and provide leadership for Summitstone Health Partner’s values by delivering visionary and operational leadership while fostering trust, collaboration, and a diverse and inclusive environment.

    • Manages the compliance inbox, reviews the data/trends and participates in the creation and implementation of mitigation plans.   
    • Coordinates and conducts internal compliance investigations, as needed.
    • Serves as the backup Privacy Officer for the agency which entails communication, training and investigation of privacy rules and regulations.
    • Oversees the internal mock survey process.
    • Partners with the Director of Compliance, as needed, on compliance topics or complex inquiries.
    • Oversees the creation and implementation of agency policies and procedures.
    • Understanding of the major compliance laws such as the False Claims Act, Stark Laws, Anti-kickback Statutes, HIPPAA/Part 2, Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 and HITECH.
    • Ensure compliance with confidentiality laws and regulations as well as agency policies and procedures.
    • Oversee the training, performance management and development of the compliance staff members.
    • Knowledge of diversity and inclusion with the relevant ability to engage, communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with people of different backgrounds, identities, and culturally diverse communities
    • Other duties as assigned

     

     

    Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
    • More than seven years of experience of relevant experience with increasing responsibility in Compliance or similar field.
    • More than seven years of experience with compliance; preferable in behavioral health, substance use or healthcare.
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be evaluated and considered.
    • Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred

    Some positions include driving a company vehicle and require a valid Colorado driver’s license.

    Wage Ranges

    The typical hiring range for this position is $76,794 to $92,154 annually, based on relevant years of experience.
