Construction Manager (Electrical Substation Project)
Location: Maidsville WV
Duration: 2 1/2 week shut down
Compensation: (negotiable) $60-75/hr

Our client is a leading provider of engineering, construction, and maintenance services in the energy industry. We are currently seeking a Construction Manager to oversee work on an existing electrical substation in Maidsville West Virginia.
Job Description:
The Construction Manager will be responsible for managing the construction of the electrical substation project through its completion. They will work closely with the project team, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required specifications. The Construction Manager will report to the Project Manager and will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities:

Manage the construction of a shut down at an electrical substation project in West Virginia.

Develop and maintain project schedules and ensure that work is completed on time.

Monitor project costs and ensure that work is completed within budget.

Coordinate with the project team, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure that work is completed to the required specifications.

Ensure that all work is completed safely and in accordance with applicable codes and regulations.

Manage and supervise the construction team to ensure that work is completed efficiently and effectively.

Review and approve subcontractor invoices and change orders.

Maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and contracts.

Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and community members.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, preferably in electrical substation projects.

Strong Electrical Construction background

Knowledge of electrical substation construction methods, materials, and equipment.

Strong leadership and management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.
