Compliance Manager manages the compliance programs, policies, reporting, and practices for an organization or business. Ensures that all activities follow regulatory requirements related to the governance of the organization as well as any industry-specific or location-specific laws. Being a Compliance Manager oversees internal controls and auditing systems that monitor and report on regulated activities and processes. Implements risk-based compliance testing of existing procedures and controls to identify, detect, and correct noncompliance. Additionally, Compliance Manager evaluates and implements changes to compliance processes due to new or amended regulations. Delivers communication and training initiatives that inform stakeholders about compliance requirements. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Compliance Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Compliance Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. - Work collaboratively to advocate for individual students and specific groups
- Establish and maintain a positive relationship with principals, teachers, staff, and parents.
- Articulate the district’s mission and goals to all stakeholders in the interest of student success and solicit support in realizing the mission.
- Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.
- Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy. Make recommendations to improve program effectiveness

Primary Purpose: Manage a caseload of students with regard to programming needs and collaborative efforts between service providers, administration, instructional personnel, and parents/guardians to provide supportive services and supports based on assessed needs. The facilitator is responsible for coordination, planning and preparation for compliance documents for students eligible for 504 and Special Education Services.Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree (preferred) Master's degree (preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of state and federal laws for educating students with disabilities
Understanding of the individual needs of students with disabilities.
Ability to communicate effectively with parents and staff.
Ability to implement policies and procedures
Ability to interpret data
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
With 504/SPED policies and procedures and/or providing social emotional support to students in an agency or educational setting
