Compliance Manager manages the compliance programs, policies, reporting, and practices for an organization or business. Ensures that all activities follow regulatory requirements related to the governance of the organization as well as any industry-specific or location-specific laws. Being a Compliance Manager oversees internal controls and auditing systems that monitor and report on regulated activities and processes. Implements risk-based compliance testing of existing procedures and controls to identify, detect, and correct noncompliance. Additionally, Compliance Manager evaluates and implements changes to compliance processes due to new or amended regulations. Delivers communication and training initiatives that inform stakeholders about compliance requirements. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Compliance Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Compliance Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. They have formal project management training, PMP certification, and the ability to engage and lead a team of technical and business staff.* This is a non-permanent position with an anticipated end date of December 31, 2025. *This position is for an experienced IT Project Manager with a very strong emphasis on Agile methodologies. The role involves managing complex IT projects, defining project scope, developing, and managing schedules, and overseeing resources.
Key responsibilities include leading teams, translating complex technical and business concepts into understandable language, managing project risks, and providing regular status updates. The role requires significant experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies. PMP certification is preferred. Strong communication skills, the ability to engage and lead a team of technical and business staff, and a highly organized approach to work are essential.
Some of your duties may include:- Initiate Complex Projects: Work with the Business Sponsor to define scope, develop and receive approval on the Project Charter, and facilitate decision making regarding the technical solution.
- Determine Resource Needs: Allocate resources to the project team and define team members’ roles and responsibilities.
- Develop Project Management Plan: Implement the plan which defines project governance.
- Provide Leadership and Direction: Create a collaborative culture, resolve issues, direct the work of project team members, and ensure Business Sponsor engagement.
- Manage IT Project Risk: Implement a process to report risks, identify and track project risk, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Develop and Maintain Project Schedule: Define the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), develop the project schedule, and monitor work effort.
- Decision Making: Determine resources necessary for project completion, resolve issues, and make adjustments to keep the project on track.
To request a detailed position description, click here.- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or closely related field and five (5) years’ experience managing high value IT projects of increasing size and complexity.
- A combination of education and/or relevant IT experience totaling nine (9) years.

- Experience managing projects that followed an industry standard Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience using, business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources.
- Project Management Training/Certification (PMP).
*A Master's degree or above will substitute for one (1) year of required experience.
