Under the direct supervision of a mentor, you will assist in installing electrical components in our large generator enclosures!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Studies blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the electrical components to install and the assembly sequence.
- Assembles and installs wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment.
- Bends and installs conduit.
- Assembles functional parts of enclosures and tanks using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straight edges.
- Follows work instructions from general description. Confers with supervisor or others to resolve assembly problems
- Cleans and organizes work area.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Junior or Senior enrolled in a related Tech Ed class.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos, as well as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
