    Job Summary

    Reporting to the Senior Director of Enterprise Applications, the PeopleSoft Lead and Access Control Administrator serves as a subject matter expert and is responsible for working independently to secure access to information systems administered by the Enterprise Applications department. The incumbent leads and coordinates the central Common Management System (CMS) support function, including acting as a lead to decentralized unit level CMS analysts, conducting monthly collaboration meetings, reviewing upcoming functionality changes with affected CMS analysts to determine testing needs and timelines, tracking system performance testing to ensure moves to production will be successful with no negative impacts to the user experience, identifying and resolving access needs and issues, leading and performing fit/gap analysis, developing functional specifications and configuration guides, and maintaining a roadmap for planned maintenance for existing and new PeopleSoft projects and tools. In addition, the incumbent designs and develops complex access control architecture, performs analysis, design, program development and administration based on the policies and procedures of PeopleSoft (Campus Solutions, HR, and Finance) applications and Adobe Acrobat Sign.

    Key Qualifications

    The incumbent is required to possess an advanced and comprehensive knowledge of management information systems and databases, including report development and analysis, access control structure and access, application development and support. The incumbent must be able to apply this extensive expertise as a generalist or specialist. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field. Seven years of related work experience developing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise-level PeopleSoft applications and integrations and a minimum of two years of advanced experience analyzing and configuring application security required. Higher education experience highly preferred. Incumbent’s skill level must allow them to work almost completely independently on the most complex problems and work assignments. Incumbents at this level are capable of leading and motivating teams and implementing efforts for assigned projects using advanced written and oral communications and listening skills. Must possess the ability to take initiative to complete work assignments. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google G-Suite, with expertise in Microsoft Excel required.

    Salary and Benefits

    Starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and is anticipated to be in the range of $7,886 - $9,584 a month. This is a full time, exempt position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period.

    This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 14 paid holidays are offered each year; 13 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.
