May also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.

• Help to maintain and repair equipment by carrying out preparations and providing assistance.
• Follow a straightforward mandatory procedure to ensure that work is carried out to the required quality standards and/or to ensure adherence to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct.
• Interpret and use precision measuring equipment/instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gauges.
• Works with guidance to understand policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectives.
• HS Diploma / GED and 3-5 years relevant machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment operating manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC lathes/mills.
• CNC programming experience will be highly valued.
