Computer Numeric Controlled Machine Operator is responsible for operating one or more types of computer numeric controlled production equipment. Selects appropriate settings and makes adjustments as necessary. Being a Computer Numeric Controlled Machine Operator follows established quality and safety standards. Tek Gear and Machine was established in 1990. We are a small production company who specializes in gear cutting. The CNC operator is responsible for the following.
-Operation of CNC machinery to accurately produce parts to within customer specifications.
- The CNC operator is responsible for tool changes/offset adjustments, troubleshooting problems, and maintaining quality standards.
-The job requires short to medium production runs. Typically, 200-8000 parts.
-Experience with manual machining or gear cutting is a plus.
- 2 to 4 years of experience required preferably on HAAS or similar equipment.
Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, proven experience as a CNC operator, the ability to read mechanical drawings or documents. You will also be expected to be punctual, courteous and follow direction well. The company provides all measuring equipment required. The candidate must be able to use the following tools accurately:
-I.D. mics
-O.D. mics
-Dial calipers
-Height gage
-Dial indicators
Duties and Responsibilities.
-Keep a clean and safe workspace.
-Perform regular maintenance: lubrication, maintaining coolant levels, etc.
-Stand for long periods of time
- Knowledge of general shop math
Day shift working hours are from 7:30 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. A 45 minute lunch period consisting of 30 minutes unpaid and 15 minutes paid is given every day. Overtime as needed.
Benefits include
Starting pay rate is $24 per hour or more based on experience and qualifications. TEK Gear and Machine is an EOE. Valid Ohio drivers license required.
