Computer Numeric Controlled Machine Operator is responsible for operating one or more types of computer numeric controlled production equipment. Selects appropriate settings and makes adjustments as necessary. Being a Computer Numeric Controlled Machine Operator follows established quality and safety standards. Typically requires a high school diploma. Additionally, Computer Numeric Controlled Machine Operator typically reports to a supervisor. The Computer Numeric Controlled Machine Operator works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. To be a Computer Numeric Controlled Machine Operator typically requires 3-5 years of related experience. Duties:
- Operate and maintain machines used for cutting, bending, etc. in the production process
- Assemble, package, and fabricate products according to specifications
- Use hand tools and equipment to perform tasks
- Handle materials and supplies for production
- Perform quality control checks to ensure products meet standards
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
Experience:
- Previous experience as a machine operator or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with basic math calculations for measurements and quantities
- Knowledge of welding techniques is a plus
- Proficiency in using SolidWorks or other CAD software is a bonus
