We are searching for a Machine Operator to join our team.
This position is based out of our Mail Fulfillment Center. The Mail Fulfillment Center provides meaningful employment opportunities in a competitive work environment for individuals with disabilities. Our goal is to offer high-quality complex printing, mailing, and scanning services to our clients while also creating jobs for the disabled workforce. The Center’s mission is to provide as many competitive wage jobs to individuals with disabilities as we can.
Job Summary:
Operate industry standard mail equipment to accomplish jobs assigned by management.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery as assigned by supervisors at expected throughput standards
- Assure accuracy in machine operation when operating equipment, assuring customer set up is proper when operating to assure jobs completed as to specification
- Manually prepare mailings as defined by customer specification and communicated by supervisors
- Use log in credentials when operating presort, mail meter, or flat presort machines to assure accountability in job performance. Log out upon completion of all work
- Identify and report to supervisor all potential mailing errors and machine maintenance issues in order for timely resolution
- Complete required preventative maintenance tasks on machinery as assigned
- Work in conjunction with service technician in identifying machine issues
- All other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers
The compensation range for this position is $20.00 to $23.50. Rate of pay is commensurate on experience
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of job related experience, specifically in manufacturing/production or related experience
- Current NYS Driver’s License in good standing
- Ability to follow directions, communicate, perform simple math functions and know basic weights and measures
