Job description
Purpose Of Job:
Operates plant equipment and performs routine plant operations as assigned by supervisor.
Key Accountabilities:
· Under the direction of Shift Supervisor, operates plant equipment including filters, kilns, ball mills, vibro mills, jet mills, screens, compressors, generators, waste water treatment system, mobile equipment, boilers, as well as other required processing procedures and equipment
· Performs assigned material handling, record keeping, and measurement tasks
· Accurately logs data, collects samples, and corrects minor operational irregularities
· Executes instructions for special runs requiring alternate processing conditions
· Operate the plant equipment in a manner to ensure product and process quality
Working Experience:
· Minimum 2 years experience repairing plant process equipment.
Required Personal and Professional Skills:
· Ability to operate equipment such as lathes, drill presses, welders, specialized fabrication equipment, fork-lifts, boom trucks, front-end loaders, Bobcats, etc.
· Ability to follow instructions and to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; push or pull up to 100 lbs.; ascend and descend steps or ladders; bend or kneel; work out of doors for extended periods of time.
· Must be able to wear respirator.
