Computer Operations Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective management of an organization's computer operations. Implements department policies and procedures to effectively operate and maintain computer systems and peripherals. Being a Computer Operations Manager manages the operation of information system equipment including scheduling workflow, maintenance, and capacity plans. Continuously monitors the efficacy of computer operations, backup processes, system monitors, and server availability to ensure operation goals are met. Additionally, Computer Operations Manager researches and evaluates potential equipment upgrades to improve the capabilities of computer operations. Ensures computer operations activities meet pre-established production targets and maintain operating budgets. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Computer Operations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Computer Operations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We are looking for a qualified Computer Technician / Help Desk Specialist to install, maintain and repair computers and networks and provide remote support for our customers.

    As a computer technician you must be well-versed in computer systems and network functions. The ideal candidate will be able to work diligently and accurately and will possess a great problem-solving ability in order to fix issues and ensure functionality.

    The goal is to install and maintain high quality networks and computer systems.

    Responsibilities

    • Set up hardware and install and configure software and drivers
    • Identify and troubleshoot problems
    • Maintain office hardware and software
    • Resolve network connectivity issues
    • Repair motherboards
    • Upgrade computer firmware
    • Install software applications
    • Provide technical support
    • Test and Debug programs
    • Manage workstations
    • Coach end-users through common problems
    • Maintain and repair technological equipment (e.g. routers) or peripheral devices
    • Install well-functioning LAN/WAN and other networks and manage components (servers, IPs etc.)
    • Manage security options and software in computers and networks to maintain privacy and protection from attacks
    • Perform regular upgrades to ensure systems remain updated
    • Troubleshoot system failures or bugs and provide solutions to restore functionality
    • Arrange maintenance sessions to discover and mend inefficiencies
    • Keep records of repairs and fixes for future reference
    • Offer timely technical support and teach users how to utilize computers correctly
    • Use our CRM system and other systems and procedures we have in place to protect our customers and their data.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • A or other Industry standard certifications
    • Proven experience as computer technician or similar role
    • Experience with LAN/WAN networks
    • Thorough knowledge of computer systems and IT components
    • Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills
    • Very good communication abilities
    • Exceptional organizing and time-management skills
    • Extensive knowledge of computer software, hardware, and firmware
    • Familiarity with a wide variety of computer systems
    • Prior knowledge of data storage and data recovery
    • Service-oriented workplace persona
    • High level of technical expertise
    • Active listening skills
    • A great attitude
    • Good communication skills
    • Outstanding organizational skills
    • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and creative as well as open to new ideas and techniques
    • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
