Computer Operations Shift Supervisor supervises and monitors the computer operations of one or more shifts. Leads the operating and monitoring of computer equipment and delegates workflow as necessary. Being a Computer Operations Shift Supervisor uses established procedures to perform routine tasks to maintain computer equipment and its peripherals. Observes peripheral equipment and error messages displayed on the monitor of the terminal to identify faulty output or machine stoppage. Additionally, Computer Operations Shift Supervisor may require an associate degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members.     Job Description:
    At Regions, the Computer Operator monitors and manipulates console controls in routine computer operations.

    Primary Responsibilities
    Provides data by operating a computer
    Monitors and manipulates console controls in routine computer operations
    Operates peripheral equipment
    Prepares equipment for operations by accessing software
    Generates reports from batch jobs and distributes to end-users
    Maintains routine records
    May maintain library
    Resolves user problems by answering questions and requests
    Determines sequence of operations by studying production schedule
    Troubleshoots any malfunctions
    Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements and tests
    May act as a resource to associates with less experience

    This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

    Requirements
    High School Diploma or GED
    Six (6) years of related work experience

    Preferences
    Associate’s degree in a related field
    Prior banking experience

    Ability to work independently
    Excellent customer service skills
    Excellent problem-solving skills
    Good written and verbal communication skills

    This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to a Branch, Consumer Operations, or Professional Office Building in the following primary location: Hoover, AL.

    Compensation Details
    Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

    The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

    Job Range Target:
    Minimum: $48,710.00 USD
    Median: $62,220.00 USD
    Incentive Pay Plans: This job is not incentive eligible.
