Computer Operations Shift Supervisor supervises and monitors the computer operations of one or more shifts. Leads the operating and monitoring of computer equipment and delegates workflow as necessary. Being a Computer Operations Shift Supervisor uses established procedures to perform routine tasks to maintain computer equipment and its peripherals. Observes peripheral equipment and error messages displayed on the monitor of the terminal to identify faulty output or machine stoppage. Additionally, Computer Operations Shift Supervisor may require an associate degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Managing and overseeing daily operations within the department
· Meeting customer and company KPI's and SLA's on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis
· Facilitating effective Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis as needed
· Training, monitoring, evaluating, supervising and disciplining employees based on goals and duties
· Verifying employee time/payroll information and authorize overtime
· Assisting in managing department workforce, reinforcing company policy and procedure and establishing and maintaining healthy working relationship across the organization
· Showing initiative and making suggestions for improving processes
· Assisting with planning and budget process
· Working in a fast paced environment handling multiple tasks with complex deadlines
· Communicating with customers, vendors and employees
· Coordinating with other departments within the company
· Overseeing all LTL/Drayage operations
· Ensuring that all customer IRG requirements are met
· Able to make quick and precise decisions
· Work well with high number of seasonal temporary employees
Must have experience in working with drivers.
Must demonstrate ownership & responsibility to run the operation with a sense of urgency
