Computer Operations Shift Supervisor supervises and monitors the computer operations of one or more shifts. Leads the operating and monitoring of computer equipment and delegates workflow as necessary. Being a Computer Operations Shift Supervisor uses established procedures to perform routine tasks to maintain computer equipment and its peripherals. Observes peripheral equipment and error messages displayed on the monitor of the terminal to identify faulty output or machine stoppage. Additionally, Computer Operations Shift Supervisor may require an associate degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members.     SUMMARY:  Responsible for providing professional leadership and professional training for employees in order to give world-class service to Florida Tile customers. The DC Operations Supervisor will be responsible for assisting in the development of plans and implementation of policies and procedures, to ensure consistent and cost-efficient operations.
     
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Supervise everyday working of department operating process and increase the efficiency of workers for various growth-orientated programs.
    • Assign DC resources (labor, machines, equipment, etc.) to meet the daily variation in outbound and inbound trucks and production schedules.  Control overtime and labor hours spent. Hold employees accountable for results provide training to workers and provide upgrades to various technical skills.
    • Analyze and identify all performance-related issues.
    • Maintain an accurate inventory and investigate and follow up on shipping errors.
    • Develop plans and supervise various departmental meetings and participate in various growth campaigns.
    • Maintain and document all RF-related hardware and PCs.  Interface with IT to overcome system errors and problems.
    • Prepare regular reports, perform audits on various operations (trucks, safety, etc.), and evaluate processes as per business requirements.
    • Provide support and join improvement-based methods.
    • Monitor all administrative functions as required.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
    • Plan, direct and coordinate the operations of the DC to operate more efficiently.
    • Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment for employees.
    • Implement and manage a 5S program
    • Additional Duties as assigned.
     
    QUALIFICATIONS: 
    • 5 years of experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • Mathematical and analytical skills
    • Supervisory experience required in Distribution Center required
    • Microsoft Office experience required
    • Experience in root cause analysis preferred
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Forklift experience, operation, and training
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and make strong business decisions. 
    • SAP experience required
