Computer Operations Shift Supervisor supervises and monitors the computer operations of one or more shifts. Leads the operating and monitoring of computer equipment and delegates workflow as necessary. Being a Computer Operations Shift Supervisor uses established procedures to perform routine tasks to maintain computer equipment and its peripherals. Observes peripheral equipment and error messages displayed on the monitor of the terminal to identify faulty output or machine stoppage. Additionally, Computer Operations Shift Supervisor may require an associate degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members.     What You’ll Do

    It is the responsibility of the Tradeshow and Event Operations Supervisor to execute & lead a team to perform all tradeshow and event duties related to setup, tear down for both market and non-market events. This includes but not limited to handling temporary staffing levels, décor, loading/unloading of inventory items, pickup/deliver inventory items, cleaning/pulling/restocking of inventory items and other job-related duties.

    Position Responsibilities

    • Lead day to day activities of Tradeshow & Event temporary staff & attendants.
    • Perform all event related setup tasks including pulling inventory items, loading/unloading, delivery/pickup and setup inventory items onsite as outlined in event orders (EO’s).
    • Perform all event related tear down tasks including disassembly of inventory items, loading/unloading, return delivery/pickup and restocking.
    • Ensure that event venue is left in a clean and orderly condition.
    • Ensure all tools and equipment used for event setup/strike is returned and properly stored after install/strike.
    • Adhere to and educate staff on campus loading dock and security policies and procedures.
    • Provide input to forecast and schedule temporary staffing for quarterly markets and large special events.
    • Provide input for departmental labor budgets and recommend opportunities for efficiencies and cost savings where possible.
    • Forecasts equipment and manpower needs based off event schedule, including recommendations for capital purchase budgeting
    • Operate company equipment including but not limited to vehicles, golf carts, lifts and carts according to safety policies.
    • Handle, transport and install/strike all inventory to protect against damage.
    • Monitor and coordinate repair inventory with Facilities Team
    • Unpack and check orders received for the T&EO department are accurate and delivery slips are provided to management.
    • Post directional signage for events and market as needed and assigned.
    • Ensure clients receive assistance in a positive, professional and efficient manner.
    • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive materials.
    • Relays information to Tradeshow and Event Ops team to produce a timely resolution of customer complaints ensuring satisfaction.
    • Attends regularly scheduled staff meetings, workshops and training sessions.
    • Ability to travel to ANDMORE campuses potentially more than 20% annually.

    Qualifications

    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
    • Must have valid driver’s license.
    • A minimum of two years’ experience in tradeshow, events, and/or general laborer.
    • Able to work efficiently in a high-volume production environment and multitask.
    • Able to drive and operate trucks, box trucks, fork lifts, scissor lifts, and pallet jacks. Certification is a plus.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs of weight. This includes lifting, pushing and pulling equipment.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Professional appearance and demeanor.
    • Work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Able to effectively communicate in English in both written and oral forms.
    • Must be able to respond calmly and handle multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be willing to work outside in varied elements.
    • Flexible to work after-hours and weekends as required. Position does not have the ability for remote or hybrid office location.
