Computer Operations Shift Supervisor supervises and monitors the computer operations of one or more shifts. Leads the operating and monitoring of computer equipment and delegates workflow as necessary. Being a Computer Operations Shift Supervisor uses established procedures to perform routine tasks to maintain computer equipment and its peripherals. Observes peripheral equipment and error messages displayed on the monitor of the terminal to identify faulty output or machine stoppage. Additionally, Computer Operations Shift Supervisor may require an associate degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members.     What to Expect

    The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of Facilities Systems, including maintenance tasks related to Elevators, Dock systems, rain mitigation activities, and general maintenance. They will lead a team of technicians, and their responsibilities will include hiring, training, and developing staff to successfully support and improve "the machine that builds the machine."

    What You'll Do
    • Lead and manage a team of Facilities maintenance technicians
    • Manage operational expenses and execute within-budget forecasts
    • Champion and reinforce a safety culture in all aspects of work completed
    • Immediately report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
    • Develop Pre-Task Plans, Permits (SIPP, Hot Work, Line Break), LOTO, and EHS reviews, as necessary
    • Ensure proper pieces of training are in place for teams (forklifts, aerial lifts, fall protection, confined space, LOTO, 70E)
    • Complete all required Tesla training on time and ensure the same for the team
    • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and policies
    • Identify safety improvement opportunities and actively participate in the "Take Charge" program
    • Coordination and Supervision of one or more shifts in the operation and maintenance of Electrical, Mechanical, Water, Wastewater, Chemical, and Gas distribution systems
    • Work closely with planning and scheduling
    • Verify the quality of Work Order execution (PM, CM, RM)
    • Review scheduled work orders daily. Track all work not completed and develop a plan to complete it within the required compliance time
    • Ensure Work Order completion as per documented work instructions
    • Ensure completion of the operational rounds, readings, sampling, and inspections
    • Champion the development and setting up of each team member for success
    • Provide training, mentoring, performance improvement, and career development to technicians
    • Be proficient in conflict resolution
    • Handle disciplinary actions of employees as needed and per company policies
    • Identify great work/ideas/collaboration and submit recognition in Inside Tesla
    • Identifies complex problems and reviews related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
    • Drive other projects as needed by management or as business needs change
    • Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time
    • Support other Plant Ops team activities with Facilities staffing, as needed
    What You'll Bring
    • Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or similar role (3 - 5 years preferred)
    • Bachelor's Degree preferred
    • Demonstrated extensive experience (10 years) and strong technical knowledge with facility systems troubleshooting, maintenance, and shift supervision supporting a 24/7 manufacturing operation that includes mechanical (chillers, cooling towers, boilers, compressors, air handling units, docks, elevators), gas/chemical systems, water, and industrial wastewater systems, as well as electrical distribution and control systems
    • Demonstrated experience driving and maintaining a zero-accident safety culture that includes (PPE) and LOTO protocols and managing emergency response teams
    • Ability to obtain OSHA 30 & HAZWOPER 40 certification
    • Ability to work on rotating shifts
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under constantly changing priorities and demands
    • A commitment to excellence regarding quality work
    • Excellent listening skills, organizational skills, and strong communication skills
    • Demonstrated history of utilizing strong organizational and communication skills when dealing with employees and senior leadership
    • Evidence of leadership, positive attitude, and strong written and verbal communication skills with a high tolerance for change in a fast-paced environment
    • Able to lift up to 60 lbs., work at elevations up to 50 ft. Sit, stand, and walk for 10 hours per day.
    • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook/Excel/PowerPoint)
    • Experience with FIIX or other CMMS is highly desirable
    • A strong work ethic, proven follow-through skills, and a "can-do" attitude are highly desirable
    • Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

      Expected Compensation

      $96,000 - $240,000/annual salary cash and stock awards benefits

      Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
