PNW’s School of Engineering within CES comprises three departments: Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Mechanical and Civil Engineering. Closely affiliated with the School are two distinguished and award-winning research centers, the Center for Innovation through Visualization and Simulation (CIVS) and the Purdue Water Institute (PWI). Computer Science (CS) offers a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree. Both degree programs are rapidly growing. The department consists of a high performing team of faculty and is expanding its curricular offerings including interdisciplinary areas and collaboration with local companies. CS has a robust presence in Artificial Intelligence research and education, with two research labs recently established, the Intelligent Systems and Collaborative Robotics Research Lab and the Advanced Intelligence Software Research Lab.
