    NOECA/Huron City Schools is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join Huron's technology team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a passion for troubleshooting and repairing technology equipment. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues in Chromebooks, laptops, computers, printers, and networking equipment across our school district.     Technical requirements or be able to learn:

    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues in Chromebooks, laptops, computers, printers, and networking equipment.
    • Knowledge: Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols.
    • Experience: Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably in an educational setting, is advantageous.
    • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or equivalent are preferred.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with staff and students.
    • Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to think critically and solve complex technical problems efficiently.
    • Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
    • Team Player: Capable of working collaboratively within a team environment.

    General requirements:

    • Successfully pass a B.C.I. and F.B.I. background check
    • Good health, high moral character, and good attendance record
    • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical manuals and documentation; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individual customers or group of customers.
    • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
    • Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing and the ability to interact positively with schools and customers; ability to handle a multitude of responsibilities with minimal supervision; ability to perform duties with awareness of all organization requirements and policies.
